Year 3/4

Wind Poems.

Our first poetry unit of the year, linked to our Geography topic explored weather poems. We read and discussed the poet Christina Rosetti and used her as an inspiration when writing our own poems about the wind.

Groovy Graphs

As part of children's science and maths work. They asked questions about their favourite food groups.

Year 3/4

We work very hard in Keystage 2. Here is some of the work we have been doing this term.

Culture Week 19.10-23.10

During culture week, we had Diwali and African workshops where we learnt Bollywood dancing and traditional African dance. We did many other activities based around the culture theme!

In year 3/4 we reinacted the Diwali story and created Rangoli patterns that were symmetrical. We spent a day exploring the Spanish culture and created posters or powerpoint presentations about a Spanish speaking country. Our African masks that we designed and made look fantastic! It was a really enjoyable week!

Como Estas?

We have been learning Spanish as part of the curriculum since September and we've been having a great time learning a new language. We made our own posters to help us to remember how we feel when we get asked que tal? or como estas?

Travel Agents!

Our geography unit explored the weather and climate of different countries. We chose of favourite holiday destinations and made persuasive posters, convincing others to visit our country!

Repeated Patterns

For our Art and ICT work this term, we explored patterns. We used printing applications on the laptops to create our own patterns and designed our favourite styles. Making our own prints was pretty tricky, but our final repeated patterns look great in our classroom!
