Year 1/2 Work

Look at all the lovely work we produce in keystage 1!

Culture Week

During culture week, we had Diwali and African workshops where we learnt Bollywood dancing and traditional African dance. We did many other activities based around the culture theme!

In year 1/2 we explored the symmetry of rangoli patterns, designed our own mehndi patterns, made paper diwas, sent diwali cards and visited a school in Wolverhampton where we made Indian sweets and Diwali cards. For our Africa theme, we filmed our own version of Handa's Surprise and showed it to the other classes, explored African patterns and made tribal masks. We had a very busy but fun week!

Push and Pull

As part of their science work Keystage 1 have been learning about the forces of push and pull. They investigated which objects needed push, pull or both to move.

Cannock Chase Visit

As part of our science topic, we visited Cannock Chase. We learned about Minibeasts and did some pond dipping. We all had a really great day and learned so much!
